Senja review – social proof is so important when it comes to turning website visitors into customers. Thankfully, Senja makes the whole process of collecting, displaying and sharing customer reviews and testimonials really simple.
It’s a platform that was founded by a UK marketer alongside a Nigerian developer and together they make an excellent team.
I’ve used Senja myself for quite some time and I’ve been impressed by how intuitive the platform is, and how the founders just keep improving it day by day.
If you want to know more about how I’ve used Senja and how it could help your business grow, check out the video I recorded for my business CRO Genie…

What impressed me the most with Senja is how easy it is to get started.
They have implemented a really clear onboarding process that makes it simple to get setup and start collecting and displaying reviews.
Plus, if you have existing reviews elsewhere, you can import them so you have everything in one place. That makes it really useful when you come to needing to create widgets to display reviews on your site, or you want some nice graphics to share on social media.
One of the features I really value is that you can also export your testimonials. This is important for two reasons.
Firstly, it reduces your risk as you can keep a backup of all your reviews. Secondly, it means you’re not locked in to using Senja as you could export your reviews to another platform at any time.
These are just some the reasons I have been using Senja on my own website and why I decided to publish my Senja review. So, with that in mind, let’s move on to my use-case.
My Personal Experience With Senja
In addition to running Business4Beginners, I also provide consulting services in conversion rate optimisation (CRO) via my website CRO Genie.
A massive part of CRO is building trust with visitors and so social proof is a really important aspect of that. Here are a few statistics to emphasise that point:
- Putting customer testimonials regularly on your product page can increase your annual revenue by 62%.
- 92% of customers are hesitant to buy a product if there are no customer reviews.
- Video testimonials can improve organic search traffic to a website by up to 157%.
So, as you can imagine, I am often advising my clients to add more customer reviews and testimonials AND to display them prominently across all areas of their website.
And, since I have to practice what I preach, I needed an easy solution to collect and display my own customer reviews and, after looking at a few different options, Senja stood out as my best option.
Let’s take a look at some of the ways I’m using Senja…
Hero Section – Initial Trust Building
In the above image you can see three different Senja widgets (highlighted by red boxes). There is a summary widget below the ‘Book Now’ button that adds overall credibility.
There is a short quote under the video from a testimonial that provides further context as to what the service is about.
Plus, there are three short testimonials at the bottom that really build further proof and trust that this is a service worth using. People may still be figuring out what’s on offer, but they can already see lots of social proof that make them interested to learn more.
Wall of Love – Overloading Proof
About half-way down my page I use Senja to display a ‘Wall of Love’. Essentially, this is a feed of all of our testimonials and reviews. It’s designed deliberately to look like a bit of ‘overload’.
You display so many reviews all at once that users are left in no doubt that people love what you do and immediately gain trust (even if they don’t read every review).
Large Snippets – Final Proof
Just before the end of my landing page I display large review snippets to add that final bit of reassurance for visitors who are still on the fence.
It’s another Senja widget that I made very few changes to (though you can customise further if required).
So, as you can see, there are lots of widgets you can use to embed your reviews all over your site. It’s as easy as taking a small piece of code and pasting it into the area you want the review widget to display.
Sharing Reviews On Social Media
Senja also has loads of image templates that allow you to create shareable images for your social media feed.
I often use these to quickly create posts for LinkedIn to help showcase what I do and why my clients get value from it. The example above was a template that I changed a few colours on but very little else. I just told Senja which review to use and it generated the image for me to download.
Collecting Testimonials – My Branded Submission Page
Here’s another feature of Senja I love. I’ve created my own branded testimonial submission page that I can send to my customers. It’s even hosted on my own domain name, yet it’s entirely setup and controlled via Senja.
I have full control over the questions I ask visitors and the steps involved. I’ve even been able to capture a short video and include it to help guide my customers and thank them for their time. It has really helped me increase the number of testimonials I collect.
Collecting Testimonials – Spin The Wheel
One thing that has really helped me collect more testimonials from my clients is enabling the ‘Spin the Wheel’ feature. This adds a step to your collection form where people who submit testimonials can try to win a prize.
I’ve set mine up to offer freebies and discounts on my services. For each one, I setup a custom voucher code and I have adjusted the odds so it’s much harder to win the freebies than it is the discounts!
This is a great way to incentivise more customers to leave reviews and is, without a doubt, one of my favourite features of Senja.
My Senja Experience – A Summary
As you’ve seen, I’m using Senja on my own site in lots of ways. I’m piling on lots of social proof across my website and using it to improve my credibility and trustworthiness.
Plus, I’m finding it much easier to collect testimonials thanks to my branded form that even includes a short video I made. The ‘Spin the Wheel’ feature then helps me to collect more reviews from customers by giving them a clear incentive.
Overall, Senja has helped me convert more visitors into customers and it has become an essential part of my business. So much so that I now recommend it to all of my clients.
What Other Features Do Senja Offer?
At the time of writing this Senja review, the platform mostly offers features designed to make testimonial collection and sharing easier.
However, the founders of the platform are very active in growing the number of features and have openly spoken about how they see it becoming a full CRM tool for customer relationship management.
It’s not at that point yet, of course, but it’s always good to see ambition.
In terms of what’s currently available that i haven’t already covered in the above section, there is a Google Chrome extension.
This essentially makes it even easier to import reviews from other sources, though it isn’t a feature I’ve used yet.
On the Pro plan, there’s also options to automatically translate testimonials, generate rich snippets so your star ratings show in Google, and connect with Zapier to help automate collection and sharing.
I’m currently using Starter plan though so I do not have access to these features. They seem nice to have and some businesses may find them useful but, personally, they aren’t features I see as hugely important for my business just yet.
Senja pricing
At the time of writing this Senja review there were three different plans available:
Free – Gives you most features but restricts you to only collecting 15 video and text testimonials.
Starter ($29/mo) – Adds unlimited testimonials, Spin the Wheel, add your own branding, custom domains, and more widgets, along with a few other features.
Pro ($59/mo) – Adds team access, Zapier integrations, rich snippets, translations, webhooks, and more.
All of the plans are pretty good value for money but the Free plan is a great starting point for most businesses if you just want to check out the platform.
That’s how I started using Senja but I soon decided to upgrade to the Starter plan as I could see how good the tool was. So far though, I haven’t felt the need to upgrade to the Pro plan.
Tip: If you opt for a paid plan choose the annual billing option for a discount. It also reduces paperwork as you’ll only have one transaction to account for each year instead of 12.
Senja reviews from customers:
“Using Senja was so easy. I integrated it into my app in about a day and have five good testimonials within 48 hours of release.”
Brendan Andrade
“Well executed, clean interface, and responsive support.”
Simo Elalj
“Senja has been an absolute game changer for how I collect and show user testimonials on our website, couldn’t recommend it enough.”
Elliot Thomas
This is just a small selection of the available reviews but you can already see how they closely reflect my own experiences of the platform. It’s such as an easy platform to use and does solve a common problem very well.
Senja Review – Summary
As a CRO consultant, I understand the importance of having lots of social proof on a website. Unfortunately, collecting reviews can often be challenging for businesses and then creating nice graphics and shareable content is the job for a good designer.
Senja clearly solves this problem and solves it very well.
It makes it easy for you to collect testimonials by producing intuitive forms and videos that encourage your customers to leave reviews at every step.
Adding in features like ‘Spin the Wheel’ then put the boosters on your testimonial collection efforts and increases the number of reviews you receive.
Plus of course, it can all be fully automated as a hands-off solution.
Displaying the testimonials on your site is a breeze too with lots of pre-designed widgets available that can be quickly customised to match your branding, then added to your site in a few clicks.
Plus, there are the social images that can be downloaded and shared within minutes to help spread the word and allow your business to grow.
I’ve used Senja myself for some time now and I’m incredibly impressed by how easy the platform is to use, and how the founders are constantly evolving and growing its capabilities.
I intend on continuing to use the tool for the foreseeable future and can wholeheartedly recommend it for any businesses that need to improve their trust and credibility in their visitors eyes.
