Our experts have given Bizik’s answering services the once-over, and here we report their findings.
Who Are Bizik?
Bizik is part of the BSQ Group, one of the biggest providers of company formation and corporate services in the UK. Bizik is their latest member and aims to become the UK’s #1 telephone answering service.
Founded in November 2023, the London-based company has over 100 employees and more than 6,500 customers who use their various answering services.
Their focus is on providing excellent customer support by real people, rather than AI. Although they also believe that technology can be a powerful tool, they claim to combine expert personal assistant (PA) agents with innovative technology to provide outstanding customer support.
Our experts have scrutinised their offerings to see if they live up to their promises.
Their Offering At A Glance
Bizik offers solutions to handle your customer interactions over the phone or online. They have four services to help businesses support their customers:
- Telephone answering service – virtual PAs answer your customers’ calls on your behalf
- Managed live chat – a dedicated team of customer support experts, not a chatbot, replies to your customers’ queries via an online chat
- Business landline – get a regional, national or freephone number your customers can call, and get forwarded to a number of your choice
- Diary Management – get a virtual PA to book in meetings and manage your diary for you
Although they have standard packages, they do also offer bespoke ones, where you get exactly what your business needs.
Let’s look at what they have to offer in more detail.
The Services – What You Get
Their services offer a solution for any business, no matter how small and at what stage it is.
Business Landline
The most basic service Bizik offers is their Business Landline Service. Having a dedicated business number makes your business look more professional and established than, let’s say, a mobile phone number.
You have the choice of three types of landline: regional, national and freephone.
Having a regional landline is great if your business operates in a certain area. If you have customers all over the country, a national number will show them that you are a national company.
The freephone number will let your customers call you at no cost to them, which can increase customer engagement and give you the edge over competitors without that service.
Any calls will be redirected to a number of your choice, including a landline or mobile phone number. This gives you the freedom to answer calls wherever you are.
If you struggle to answer all the calls you get, Bizik’s next service might be the one for you.
Telephone Answering Service
Answering customer calls is very important, but it’s also time-consuming and can keep you from working on growing your business. Hiring staff is costly, because you don’t just have to pay their wages, but also taxes and employer NIC.
So the Telephone Answering Service offered by Bizik could be the solution for your business. You will get the following features:
- Calls answered by a dedicated team of customer service agents – this can be all incoming calls or only overflow calls you can’t answer yourself
- Help customers with queries – the team will follow your instructions about how to answer customer queries
- Call transfers – customers can be transferred to you or your team
- Message taking – the team takes messages and passes them on to you or your team
- Out-of-hour voicemail – calls out of office hours are directed to a custom voicemail – office hours are from Monday to Friday between 8:30 and 17:30 UK time

What our experts found excellent was that you have total control over how Bizik’s team answers to customer queries. They will follow your instructions in terms of information to provide, tone of conversation, and how to help with certain queries.

During their Bizik review, our experts found one thing they really liked about this service: that customer queries will be answered by real people, rather than an AI chatbot.
We’ve all been there. You write your question in the little live chat box on a website and then get a generic answer or links to help articles that don’t answer your query. If you manage to get connected to a team member, you have to explain your issue again.
If you use Bizik’s Managed Live Chat package, your customers won’t have this experience. They will be connected to a real person, who is an expert customer support agent. This is a huge advantage in our expert’s opinion.
While Bizik does offer different plans, they aim for absolute customer satisfaction and they know that one size doesn’t fit all.
So they will offer a bespoke package that includes what your business needs. That’s great, because it means that you won’t have to pay for something you don’t need, yet you get everything that’s necessary to grow your business.
To assess your needs, they give you a 7-day free trial period, where you can test their phone answering or live chat management service. This gives you a chance to test what they can offer to see if it meets your needs.
But it also gives them the chance to see what your needs are, so they can propose a tailored package that works for your business.
Fees – What It Will Cost You
As we have just said, Bizik is keen to provide businesses with the right level of service, which is why they will create bespoke packages for each customer, which will have different prices.
Their website is a bit confusing when it comes to finding out what their fees are. There isn’t a page with all their plans, so we contacted them for our Bizik review to be able to give you the information you need to make a decision.
Business Landline
You can get a national or regional landline from as little as £9.99 per month. For regional numbers, this includes 020 London numbers, so there is no surcharge if your business is based in the capital.
For national numbers, 03 are included. These are numbers introduced by Ofcom as an alternative to more expensive national 08 numbers.
If you are after a freephone number to allow your customers to get in touch with you without having to pay, it will cost you from £14.99 per month.
You can take your phone number with you if you move, which is great, because it provides your customers with consistency.
Calls that are forwarded to a UK number are free. If you need them to be forwarded to an international number, this is charged at the BT standard rate.
Telephone Answering Service
Bizik told us that they have four packages for their telephone answering service, with the Biz Starter package, the lowest, costing £29.99 per month.
For this price, you get:
- A dedicated team of receptionists to answer incoming calls, forward them to you or your team, or take a message
- The ability to provide the Bizik PA team with a bespoke script to ensure customers get the experience you want them to have
- Messages can be sent to you via email or SMS
- Access to the online log of all calls and messages – so you always know what’s going on
- Access to the Bizik online reporting portal – this gives you the right data to make improvements
- Voicemail for out-of-hours calls – so you don’t miss any customer interaction
One thing to keep in mind is that on top of the monthly fee, you also have to pay £1.50 per receptionist minute. This will increase your monthly costs.
If you are likely to have a lot of calls or customer queries that take longer to resolve, it might be worth looking at their other packages, as they might be more cost-effective.
You get the same service with all their packages, but you get free receptionist minutes and lower rates for additional minutes:
- Inc 30 – gives you 30 receptionist minutes per month included, with additional minutes only costing £1.20 per minute – £49 per month
- Inc 50 – gives you 50 receptionist minutes included, additional ones are charged at £1.20 per minute – £65 per month
- Inc 100 – you get 100 free receptionist minutes per month as part of the package, with additional minutes charged at £1.20 per minute – £110 per month
If you aren’t sure which package is the one for you, it’s worth doing the free 7-day trial to see how many minutes of receptionist time you would require and which package will give you the best value for money.
Managed Live Chat
For this service, Bizik told us they have five different plans, with the cheapest, Chat15, costing £54.99 per month.
For this, you get the following services:
- FAQ shortcuts
- Chat transcripts sent to you via email
- Bizik customisable live chat software
- Access to the online reporting portal to get data to help you improve
- Out-of-hours lead capture
- 15 chats handled by the Bizik PA team per month
Any additional chats handled by the team will be charged at £3.70 per chat. This package is the best one if you plan to handle all your customer interactions via live chat yourself.
The 15 included chats will be a good fallback option, if you can’t manage some for some reason at some point.
If you need the Bizik customer service team to handle more of your chats, one of the other plans might be more suitable for you. You get the same services as with the Chat15 plan, but you get more chats included:
- Chat40 – get 40 chats per month included, with additional chats charged at £3.70 per chat – £148 per month
- Chat100 – the Bizik team will handle 100 chats per month for you, with any extra chats charged at £3.70 per chat – £360 per month
- Chat160 – 160 chats per month included, and additional chats will cost you £3.70 per chat – £560 per month
- Chat250 – 250 chats included, beyond that each chat handled by the Bizik team is charged at £3.70 – £850 per month
Clearly, here the volume of chats you would like the team to handle will be the main factor in which of these plans you choose.
The free 7-day trial can help you to find out what kind of volume of online chat interactions you are likely to have.
Live Chat Management Add-Ons
Bizik told us that there are extra services you can add for the online chat services, although they aren’t mentioned on the website.
The plans seem to only include one chat box widget. If you need extra ones, because you want the chat box on more than one of your pages, it will cost you £15 per month for each extra widget.
You might want your team members to also be able to access the live chats. In the plans, only one access to the customer platform is included, but you can add more logins if needed. Any extra agent login will cost £15 per month, though.
Bizik told us you can also add the Biz-Bot widget for £90 per month. There isn’t any information about this add-on on the website, which is a shame.
It’s basically a chatbot that can answer queries. But it wouldn’t replace the Bizik team, instead it would support them. When none of the team is available, it will jump in to ensure the customer gets a reply quickly.
It has a hefty price tag, but can help to enhance your customers’ experience, especially if you get a high volume of chat requests.
Bizik Reviews From Their Customers
So far so good. But what do Bizik’s customers think about their services? We have looked at independent review sites to find out what companies who use them think about them for this Bizik review.
It has to be said that they currently don’t have many customer reviews on review sites or their own website. But they do have a claimed profile on Trustpilot.
While the number of reviews is very low, less than 30 at the time of writing, 100% of them are 5-star reviews.
They are all less than a year old, which suggests they haven’t been asking for testimonials from their customers for long.
There are two main themes in these reviews: the customer service the businesses have received and the service Bizik provides, with some customers mentioning both.
My Customer’s [sic] are constantly telling me how impressed they are with our customer service since using telephone answering and that’s thanks to the Bizik staff. They are also so quick to answer the phones and help me when I need to change details on my account!

Advantages Of The Bizik Answering Services
Our experts have identified quite a few benefits of using Bizik to help you answer your customers’ queries.
The price point is quite competitive compared to comparable services offered by their competitors.
Their lowest plans are ideal for small businesses who just need help with a few calls or chats per month, while their more expensive plans can cover businesses with higher volumes of customer calls or chat requests.
And even at the expensive end, it will still be much cheaper than hiring your own in-house team of customer support agents.
You also don’t have to worry about your customers getting through to a traditional call centre somewhere in the world. Bizik only hires UK-based staff that are experts in the field of customer service.
To ensure your customers get a bespoke customer experience that fits with your company, the Bizik PA team will handle calls and chats according to your instructions. Your customer base won’t know that they aren’t speaking to you or your team.
The outstanding customer reviews Bizik has received are evidence that their staff is dedicated to providing excellent customer service to you and your customers.
Disadvantages Of The Bizik Answering Services
Of course, there are always downsides to everything. And our experts have also spotted some disadvantages, albeit small ones.
One of them is that there is no out-of-hours service. The Bizik team will only answer calls and manage live chats during their business hours, which is Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 17:30 UK time.
If you get customers contacting you outside of these times, this could be a drawback. That said, Bizik does provide a voicemail to ensure no call is lost and a lead capture for outside these hours so no contact request is missed either.
The other one is that you have to pay calls handled by the Bizik team per minute. This could quickly spiral out of control if you are on one of the lower plans. But as long as you keep an eye on it and move to a plan with more minutes included, it shouldn’t be a big issue.
As far as downsides go, this one isn’t that bad, right?
Is It Worth Getting Bizik’s Answering Services?
To conclude our Bizik review, our experts look at whether it’s worth getting their services for your small business.
The biggest drawback of hiring your own customer service staff is costs. The hiring process itself involves costs and takes time. Then you have to train your staff, which again involves costs.
Then you have to pay their wages, taxes, NIC contributions, and there is also sick pay and annual leave that will need to be covered. To keep costs down, outsourcing your customer support is a great option.
The biggest disadvantage of this is that the quality of customer service might suffer, because the customer support agents aren’t part of your company.
